Student Government Association at Saint Peter's

According to Saint Peter's University, the Student Government exists to assist members in welcoming and understanding democratic values through participation in student government.

Ryan Campen

Ryan Campen, President of SGA

Position: President of the Student Government Association

Goal: One of my goals as President is to empower students to become advocates for themselves. I also want people to be proud of the University they attend. I want students to appreciate all the great things that the University has to offer while also having the passion and confidence to change the things that they would like to see changed.

Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy binge watching Drag Queen videos and Netflix shows. I also enjoy reading about social justice issues happening around the world.

Biggest Anticipation of the Year: I look forward to the future student leaders who will rise up and take on leadership roles across campus to continue strengthening and bettering our University.

Annalisa Leite

Annalisa Leite, Vice President of SGA

Position: Vice President of the Student Government Association

Goal: One of my goals this year is to get people to know who SGA is and what SGA does! I want to make sure our presence on campus is known and that the student body knows that they can come to me and all SGA members with issues and concerns whenever one arises!

Hobbies: I love to write, hang out with friends, and go shopping!

Biggest Anticipation of the Year: I’m looking forward to graduating, getting my Masters degree next year and then getting a job in the Prevention Field!

Gabriella Ambroise

Gabriella Ambroise, Chief Activities Officer of SGA

Position: Chief Activities Officer of the Student Government Association

Goal: One of my goals, to enrich student life, this year is to make sure that we create programming that the student body has interest in. I used to find myself as a member of student organizations doing programs that were interesting to me and my executive board but noticed low attendance from the student body. As the Chief Activities Officer, I want to make sure that the programs that each class creates a focus on the interest and needs of their class.

Hobbies: My favorite hobbies are to read books and listen to music. I have not been reading as much as I used to pre-college. Now that I am gearing towards the end of my college career I am building up my reading list and purchasing more books, so I can catch up on all the books I have not had the chance to read after I graduate.

Biggest Anticipation of the Year: This academic year, I am looking forward to creating lasting memories with everyone that I have met and interacted with over these past four years. College has really been a journey for me and graduating this year is really helping to make all of my experiences come full circle. I am also looking forward to using my intern experience at The Waterfront Project this year to help me find a job after I graduate.

Patrick Farrell

Patrick Farrell, Chief Financial Officer of SGA

Position: Chief Financial Officer of the Student Government Association

Goal: As Chief Financial Officer, I want to ensure that the Student Government is able to use the activity fee in a way that benefits all of the student body. Being on the Executive Board, I am glad to be working in collaboration with other members to make sure that all of our planned events will be not only cost effective but also engaging for the entire student body. My hope, for this year, in particular, is that Peacock Pride Day in the springtime will be a successful enough to energize the campus and turn this into a Saint Peter's tradition.

Hobbies: One of my favorite pastimes is just going out and exploring on the weekends, whether it be the city or somewhere in the countryside. If something cool is in driving distance, I'm ready. I also enjoy keeping up with electoral politics.

Biggest Anticipation of the Year: This year, I am looking forward to finishing up my larger academic projects! Aside from that, I want to make sure that I am involved in student life as much as possible. I am a part-time worker, but I am a full-time student. And with that, I think I should focus on taking advantage of everything the school has to offer because the end is near!

Evelyn A. Ortiz

Evelyn A. Ortiz, Chief Information Officer of SGA

Position: Chief Information Officer of the Student Government Association

Goal: One of my goals for SGA is to increase student involvement and make them aware that they have a voice here on campus through the Student Government Association. I also aim to be one of the many commuter voices in SGA along with those who have seen the need for commuter representation on campus.

Hobbies: During my free time, whenever I find some, I enjoy hanging out with my boyfriend and family, going to the movies, eating and reading my Bible. I'm planning on taking my MCAT soon, so I really have to study for that during my free time.

Biggest Anticipation of the Year: One of the things I am looking forward to this year is getting more involved with Campus Ministry. I've heard so much of what they do that I want to be a part of it, even if it is my last year. I'm also graduating, so that's something I'm definitely looking forward to!

Biggest Anticipation of the Year: Something I am looking forward to is being a voice for the commuter students in the Student Government Association.
